SEVA GRREAT's Honey

SEVA GRREAT took in Honey, a 2 year old spayed female Golden, from a rural shelter in early July.  We found out she was heartworm positive at her intake appointment.  She made it fine through her first treatment, and  we then discovered she had an anal abcess that kept her from having good bowel movements and a urinary tract infection that made her urinate all the time. Her foster family survived that and she has been doing well!   She so a sweet dog with a mellow personality! She is great with kids and loves to have her head and tummy rubbed.

On August 15th, Honey's foster mom took her back to the vet.  Within the last week she had really started to get a "pork belly".We thought she was either eating too good or maybe something was wrong. Turns out "surprise"! The 2 yr old "spayed" female was not spayed after all.She is pregnant with about 7 puppies that they could see in the X-ray).  Even more surprising, Honey is going to be a proud mamma anytime within the week!

On August 23rd, Honey successfully delivered 10 puppies!  Mom and puppies are doing great!  More is to follow on the puppies, we hope to put them up for adoption shortly and they will be ready to go home at age 7-8 weeks.
